SUMMARY:Cosmetics Europe Science Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Cosmetics Europe held a Science Workshop on November 13th in Brussels. \nThe workshop was organised to engage in discussions with experts from industry and regulatory bodies to facilitate the regulatory use and acceptance of alternative methods. \nThe focus was on Genotoxicity\, Skin Allergy and Read Across. The dialogue between the sixty experts from the cosmetics industry\, the European Commission\, the SCCS and National competent authorities was constructive and was seen to be an important step towards animal free assessment of Cosmetics products and ingredients. \nParticipants were keen to continue the dialogue in the months to come in similar settings. \n

DESCRIPTION:Cosmetics Europe is organising a Science Workshop November 13th in Brussels. It is by invitation only. \nThis Workshop will focus on use of alternatives for regulatory decision making and is a follow-up of a session we had at our Science conference last year.\nWe are planning to have 50-60 people at the Workshop. \nThe workshop will facilitate dialogue between toxicologists and safety assessors from industry and the public sector.\nThe intention of the workshop is to build confidence in NAM’s and NGRA both in and outside the industry and with those that are on the receiving end of the safety assessment data sets. \n
